
The angel is also very upbeat no matter what the situation, which certain characters, including both foe and ally, can find it a nuisance at times. He believes in protecting humanity and the heavens from those that seek their destruction. Pit is generally a goodhearted and heroic character, possessing a strong sense of justice. I fight for all creatures living and breathing! I fight for all departed souls still hanging in limbo! But most of all, I fight for Lady Palutena, the goddess of light! Pit's sandals are brown, decorated with crossing beige bands and fuzzy white trims. The angel has a pair of brown and gold metal bracers on his wrists, a gold bracelet on his upper left arm, and another gold ring on his right thigh. Pit also appears to wear a skin-tight navy undershirt and shorts beneath. He wears the outfit with a brown belt and a gold triangular buckle. It is fastened on the shoulder by a single gold fibula with a red stone or glass embedded in it, along with a loose scarf. His chiton remains white, now decorated with red and gold hems with vine-like patterns. The modern design has blue eyes and many tufts in Pit's hair including a single unruly cowlick.

Sakurai redesigned Pit as if he had been developed through his series, comparing Pit to Link from The Legend of Zelda series as a guide for Pit's current look, including the approval of Pit's creator. Pit now looks to be about 13 years of age, with a height around 160 cm (5'3") tall. Since his reappearance in Brawl, he was given a major redesign by Masahiro Sakurai. In Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters and beyond, he dons a gold laurel crown. He had short brown hair, and small white wings that are incapable of flight. In earlier games, Pit appeared as a very young-looking, cherubic angel wearing a simple white chiton with a pair of sandals, and metal cuffs. Pit is Palutena's most loyal servant, as well as the captain of her army. If the oxygen meter becomes too low, prospectors will have a reduced rate of stamina regeneration, and eventually begin losing Health.Įarly in the game, oxygen can be replenished by consuming Oxite from the inventory, or by placing oxite in the oxygen slot of an Envirosuit. Like Hunger and Thirst, oxygen must be replenished on a regular basis, or the prospector will begin to experience increasingly negative effects. Oxygen is one of the three survival meters that must be maintained by prospectors while attempting a Prospect on Icarus.
